London Children's Ballet

We are arranging another fun trip with the London Children's Ballet to see the performance of "Ballet Shoes" at The Peacock Theatre, London on Friday 23rd April at 1pm.

The London Children's Ballet returns to the West End with a glorious new production of Noel Streatfeild's popular classic story Ballet Shoes. This captivating adaptation is full of tap dancing energy and the striking beauty of classical ballet that all who respond to the magic of theatre are bound to love and remember.

The cast of 55 talented dancers, aged 9 - 16, makes this a perfect way to introduce young audiences to the joys of ballet and classical music.

CHF have organized this event for several years and each time the children and their families have loved the experience of not only seeing the performance but also getting the opportunity of meeting the dancers in the interval.

Here is what one parent thought of last year's trip to the ballet.

"It was Cordelia's first ever trip to the theatre and we could see her excitement building as we waited for the curtain to rise.  She viewed the orchestra pit and pointed out the instruments she recognised.  When the children came on stage her face lit up, her eyes widened and she sat mesmerised. As they danced she swayed with them, waving her arms about in time and grinning from ear to ear.  When Snow White bit the poisoned apple Cordelia was near to tears, believing she had really died.  Meeting the cast afterwards was a real highlight, they were all such talented young people and extremely patient with an inquisitive three year olds strange questions. Cordelia has been showing off her own ballet moves every day since and took great delight in explaining the story in fine detail to her Nanna and anyone else who would listen!  We all enjoyed the trip so very much, I was amazed at how professional the children were, especially the small ones. It was delightful to see not just our daughter but all the childrens faces beaming with pleasure. Without the CHF we would never have had such a wonderful experience."

Tickets are limited and will be given out on a first come basis, the whole family are invited including heart children, siblings, parents and grandparents, unfortunately wheelchair access is limited and you will need to manage a flight of stairs to enter the theatre.
