Children's Heart Federation Supports CoaguNation Bus Tour

Children’s Heart Federation is supporting the CoaguNation Bus Tour organised by Roche Diagnostics Ltd.

  • Are you or your child on long-term warfarin therapy?
  • Would you like to be more in control of the management of your or your child’s condition?
  • Would you like to reduce the amount of time you or your child has to spend travelling to and attending clinics, but don’t know where to start?
  • Have you heard about self-testing but feel unsure about whether you or your child would be suitable?

If so, the CoaguNation Bus Tour is for you.

The CoaguNation Bus will be stopping at locations across the UK and Ireland between 1st May and the end of July 2008, and will provide an opportunity for people to find out more about how they might be able to simply and safely test your own blood at home.

Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to a local healthcare professional about self-testing, meet other patients with experience of self-testing, see demonstrations of self-testing kits and ask any questions they might have. There will be educational materials available that visitors can take home with them.

If you think you or your child would benefit from being able to self-test, you need to check with your cardiologist first. Children’s Heart Federation works with paediatric cardiac units around the country to give self testing machines to those children and young people most in need. We are very grateful to Roche for giving us a further fifteen self testing kits to distribute to children and young people along the route of the CoaguNation Bus Tour. To find out if a child or young person is eligible to receive an INR machine telephone Children’s Heart Federation on 0808 808 5000 or e-mail info@chfed.org.uk
