Amy Kavanagh - Manchester 5k Run

Amy battled through the wind and rain on the streets of Manchester to complete her 5k run in just 33minutes.
After having had heart surgery as a child, Amy chose to support others like herself, raising over £200!

Callum Howels - Pulse 3k Run

Callum took part in this year’s Pulse 3k run, completing the course in a staggering 17 minutes and 5 seconds! Callum ran through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, seeing some beautiful sights along the way, and even got to have a look around the Food and Fitness Festival after the event.
Congratulations Callum for your super accomplishment and thank you for your hard work!
Charlie Carrington - Flora Mini Marathon
On 1st June, Charlie took to the streets of Dublin in the Flora Mini Marathon. Not only did she manage to defeat the scorching weather and complete the race in a personal best time, but she also helped to raise over £3200 for us.
Well done Charlie, and thank you for your tremendous efforts!
Walking for Little Hearts

On 9th May 2009, little Lola and her family (including mum, dad, grandma, granddad and aunt) all completed a 10k walk across the Surrey Downs and helped to raise a magnificent £500 for us!
It was a great achievement for Lola (aged one and half years), who was born with a heart condition, and had only just recently recovered from a poorly spell.
We are all extremely proud of her, and very grateful to the whole family for their continued generous support of our work. A huge thank you to you all!
Claire Rahim and Lucy Byron's Charity Ball

On 7th February 2009, Claire and Lucy held a charity ball in memory of Lucy's sister who sadly passed away from a congenital heart condition.
They raised an outstanding £3,010 for the Children's Heart Federation.

Claire Cooper and Adam Heron - New York Marathon

Claire and Adam took to the streets of New York in November to raise money for heart children.
They managed to complete the marathon in a fantastic time of 4 hours and 25 minutes, and raised a staggering £1861!
Claire said 'The support was amazing and the crowds made for a fantastic day'.

Aston Manor School
Aston Manor School in Birmingham recently embraced the sweet side of fundraising, raising money for the Children’s Heart Federation with a Valentine’s themed sale at the school.
A huge thanks to the hard work of Mrs Oubhie and her creative team of year 8 and 10 pupils, who raised money by selling hand made heart shaped chocolates and biscuits! Mrs Oubhie said she was delighted to support the Children’s Heart Federation and help heart children and their families.

Shane Convery - Berlin Marathon

On the 28th September 2008. Shane chose to run the Berlin Marathon to raise vital funds for heart children.
From the comfort of the ground, he presented his medal to his son, Patrick, who has had various heart problems since birth. Patrick was Shane's motivator for the race, along with his wife, Gaby, and other son, Jake, who supported him from start to finish.

Claire Watson's Parachute Jump
Claire Watson took the plunge, quite literally, when she did a parachute jump on 12th October 2008 to raise vital funds and awareness for the Children`s Heart Federation.
When asked about her skydive she said, “It was an experience I'll never forget and I'm pleased to have been able to do something so amazing in aid of such a great cause.”
